Motorly
Projeto: 2020 - 2021 Time: 1 Product Designer, 1 PM e 2 Devs
This was one of the first projects I worked on as a UX/UI Designer. I was the only designer on the team and had very little professional experience at the time. Fortunately, I had great support from the project lead and the development team, which helped me grow throughout the process.

In New Zealand, despite the absence of car factories or assemblers, the population is remarkably motorized, with 837 cars per 1,000 inhabitants, ranking the country as the fourth most motorized in the world. This high rate of motorization is primarily attributed to the importation of vehicles from various countries, resulting in a diverse and confusing automotive landscape for local buyers. Most consumers lack in-depth knowledge about different car models and brands, making it challenging to find the perfect vehicle for their needs.
01
Challenges
Motorly is an innovative application aimed at simplifying the lives of car buyers in New Zealand. With this tool, anyone can easily identify the make, model, and year of a vehicle, along with accessing additional information such as local deals, average prices, and user reviews. All the user needs to do is take a photo of the car's license plate or manually enter its number. Motorly will then provide valuable and reliable information about the vehicle, making the car-buying process more accessible and convenient.

02
Personas
When developing a product or service, creating personas is a fundamental practice in the field of design and development. Personas are fictional representations of ideal users, created based on demographic, behavioral, and specific needs data. These representations help teams understand who the target users are and how they can better meet their expectations. In the specific case of Motorly, we have created a persona to illustrate the user profile in New Zealand.

03
Brainstorming
In collaboration with the team, we conducted a collaborative brainstorming session to develop Motorly's Lean Canvas. Working collectively with members from various departments, we identified essential elements, including customer segments, key problems, unique value propositions, and revenue sources. This interactive approach not only fueled creativity but also strengthened team alignment, resulting in a shared understanding and a solid strategic foundation for Motorly's user-centric development.

Wireframe

03
Usability Testing
The wireframing process for Motorly was a crucial step in crafting the app's interface. Beginning with a detailed analysis of personas and project requirements, the wireframes outlined the layout and interaction of elements in the interface, prioritizing clarity and usability. Usability testing was conducted for further refinement, ensuring an effective structural foundation for intuitive and optimized interfaces that align with user needs.
